    Doing some testing with Fast SSS 2 and Lee Perry Smiths awesome free head model:



    Finally getting my head around it. Does the exporter/v-ray allow compound materials in any form? I've been looking through other peoples skin tests using v-ray with max/maya and they advise using a "shellac" blend node to add the specular highlights from a second shader, in order to give more control as the SSS shader does not have many options for specular reflections. Does anyone know how to do this with the blender exporter?

    Use "Layered" material type, its a stacked material similar to VRayBlendMtl.

      Benjy can you show a screenshot from your sss2 settings? and can you explain where you connected teh textures?

        I'm trying to use the Layered material with not luck (I cant use textures).
        Any success whit it?

          Eibriel, try to mix materials using nodes. Textures in layered are not yet done ((
