The Snail

as sun comes out more often and spring is making life cracking up and exposing again, the snail makes its way out to the sun, followed by its shadow.

Originally based on a quick painting I did. Model is sorta finished but the final 3D version of the painting still needs some refinement for the ground. But the image itself is sorta finished The model will be rigged and animated soon and part of a logo animation, for which it will also get some extra gadgets. About the image: mostly procedual textures used, rendered with vray-free in max4.2 around 10mins on Athlon64 3000+ with medium irridiance map. The grass was generated using Grass-O-Matic plugin.
