hey indigoo, im a lil confused here, shouldnt it be the reverse?
say that u render@24 fps , but since itll look very fast when compiled as an avi, you retime it to 30 fps...now that would make perfect sense.
also i was wondering, what is the min acceptable ratio for raw render/final output fps? can i render an animation at twice the speed, and slow it down for the final avi, saving 50% of my render time? possible?
whats motionperfect btw?
thanks in advance
i take the reference in max, that 30fps=1 seconds, then if a render a 300 frames animation, i will get 10 seconds of animation, until here, clear. Then when i compile the tgas into an avi in virtual dub, i select 24fps, then i have a 12.5 seconds animation, after that, i load the 24fps uncompressed avi into motion perfect, and change the frame rate to 30 fps again, and retime the total time to an output of 150% percent of the total, so, i gain 6.25 seconds for a total animation of 18.75 seconds. the result if a 60% extra time with smooth results
If you want to double the animation time (a rate of 200%), a slow movement is requiered, only panning, and slow rotation, no zooms and fast movements with new objects in screen. Motionperfect is a retiming app, very simple, fast, but no so much powerfull as Retimer, but does it job, search for dynapel motionperfect in google
