here is my latest project, just for fun..............what do you think?

Fantastic modelling and materials, but there a few things that bother me with this image:

1) Extremely burned out area around the lamp to the right. I usually try to illuminate daytime interior renders without V-Ray lights, as artificial lighting often gives the impression that the interior is darker than it actually is.
2) The red chair is distracting, it would be look better if it sat under the table in the foreground IMO.
3) The Photoshopped guy needs to be better integrated into the image, e.g. more lighting from the window.
4) Why spotlights above the kitchen cupboards? Better to have spotlights under the cupboards and onto the kitchen workbench IMO.

But otherwise excellent work! Where did you get the translucent curtains?

I have a photo used as the template for this scene.

I think you're right in your criticism.
the light emitters were in the template also up there. otherwise I would have made it even below
