  • ground shadows brazil like

I'd like to know how could I get shadows on the ground but without any object that simulate ground...for example...Brazil has enviromental possibility to place shadows by default light settings without any object that simulate ground....

Is it possible to do in Vray...and if it is....how ???

thanks to all people that help in any way.....

not sure of what your referring to but Ive not used brazil in a looong time, well before v 1.0.

But unless you have a 'image to upload' then this is the wrong place to ask this question.

Im not sure but i think brazil has some sort of infinite ground plane object, that can be turned on and off in the renderer, is that what you're talking about?

if thats the case then there is a vray infinite plane that was introduced into vray in that last internal build that some people got to download. Which means you will surely be able to find it in the next release

Are you talking about matte shadows? you can set a standard material to
matte and then use a vraymtl wrapper. (If, for instance, you want to make
an object project shadows on say an invisible plane that would be on top of a
          background image)

I think he wants a vray plane set to matte with shadows enabled and alpha contribution set to -1
