We don´t have that glass rule in Portugal but it does make sense to prevent little kids from going into it (we atually have several deaths because of this every year). There isnt glass in the stairs too.
Pool was a MUST have requested by the client. First tests there was no pool, and when he asked me to insert one i didnt like it tbh, but now i am ok with it. Water looks dark because material that covers the interior is pretty dark and green - we used a client photo reference of another pool so all i can say it looks pretty close to it. If it was a typical blueish pool it would look completely out of the eco place so i have to agree with the client´s material choice. It feels more part of it.
Ground and landscape is inspired by the location photographs provided by the client. Key was to make the houses look attached to it because that´s the main thing in a eco-resort. Make the architecture attached to the place.
