    Hi All,

    I'm feeling particularly brave today so I thought I'd post images up. Some are recent whilst others were done last year. Some are for marketing and some are just design developement images.

    We're always looking to improve our work so C&C is most welcome.

    Thanks.

            Thanks for the comments guys.

            Reza: What tweaks would you recommend I should do for the kitchen.
            We've been staring at this image too long.

            Chris: How's it going. I see you recognise Hyde Park. Do you visit
            Sydney often? I envy your Middle-Earth!!!!!

            Sinner: Thanks dude. They are the most recent images.
            Pain in the but though. No matter much I think I've figured out
            VRay's settings, it always managed confuse when I least need it.
            I kept getting these stupid white splotches everywhere. I've
            applied crop to all my materials, turned off the Max Shade
            Context thing and it still happens. The only thing that seemed to
            work was rendering it large.

            Neo2K1: Yeah. They are a bit streched. I wish I had a sexy bikini clad
            girl I could have taken a photo of in the pose I needed.

            Keep the comments coming guys. Any suggestions how to make the night time image look better. I'm not that pleased with it. It just seems very lifeless to me.

                My cents

                I’m not sure about what’s being use...whether the objects are physical or just and image. most people would just go with images instead of objects to save or minimize rendering time...I’ve been called idiot by my college just for using obj instead of maps...but to me maps don’t look real no matter how good we are.

                  RE

                  All look great. Only crits are the wake in the pool is alittle out of scale and the plants by the pool are toy story.
                  Indecisive archictects will be the death of us all.

                      Shytigercp: You're right about the plants. It certainly does not help the
                      look of the scene. Unfortunately I left the texture maps at
                      work and hadn't realised this until 4am in the morning when
                      when I was rendering the images. Pity.

                      Vucuong83: Thanks for compliments. I've actually seen other people's
                      work on this forum with water that's a lot more realistic than
                      mine. However, if this style works for your scene, then
                      here's the settings:

                      VRaymtl:
                      Diffuse: Dark blue
                      Reflect: White with Fresnel
                      Refract: Light blue
                      Fog: Light blue - 0.005 multiplier (affect shadows and alpha)
                      Bump: Noise procedural map (size 500) I'm working in mm.

                      Add a Shellac material ontop of this material.

                      That's it. This image was done last year though and I suspect there's a better way of doing it, so if someone else would like to comment on the settings, please do.

                      With the Sunlight, it's a just a single Direct Light:
                      Mulitplier = 2
                      Colour = Slightly yellow
                      Vray Shadows.

                      Colour Mapping = HSV Dark=1.65
                      Env = 1.4

                      Although, these days I tend to set the Direct light to a high multiplier
                      and the Dark HSV lower as other members of the forum have suggested.
                      I seem to be getting a better sense of strong sunlight than the method above.

                      Hope it helps.

                        nice one chan man. Still think Electric Image looked better though.
                        If you want advice on the night shot, personally I'd say the inside lights are too bright in comparison with the building next door and also a little too evenly spaced. Other than that it works. The imagecel people in the foreground blend perfectly.
                        Dig that resort too. Very well done. Only comments are that the pool could do with some caustics (ofcourse) and some of the plants look a little on the plastic side, possibly a bit oversaturated.
                        Keep 'em coming

                          How's it going Jizzmaster!!!!

                          I wonder how many people are still using Electric Image?

                          I think the problem with the night shot is that the internal lights have no fall off on them. They were standard omnis. I completely forgot about decay.

                          You and your caustics. Have you been using it much with your work?
                          We should catch up some time. Are you dropping by the city any time soon?

                          Have you posted any images I can take a peek at?
