  • wip-please help me with this file

this is actually my first vray trial- disregarding some test renders...
the architectural design is not mine. I need your critiques and feedback for the rendering.

please disregard alias problem because it is a test render with low image sampling.

about the water: I worked a lot for the water element but I couldnt make it transparent. refraction value is pure white. and reflections are falloff with a fresnel. but I could never succed seeing inside pool.

another problem is that image seems out of focus to me. I dont know why this happens. I dont mean about the image sampling-alias matter but the image seems like as if a soft filter is applied. this can be because of GI? how to prevent it?

    my settings are:
    imafe sampling: adaptive subdivision -1,1
antialiasing filter: mit-net with default values
    GI:
irradience map with with preset "very low "
    first bounce:0.9 second bounce:0,5

    color mapping: linear multiply
    with both values 1

GI environment: default light blue sky color with value of 0,8

I have another question about color mapping.
do we enable it or is it always by default?
I mean we only choose the type-dont we?

the blurrines i believe is the outcome of low gi settings

about the transparency issue i would recommend playing with the fog color and fog multiplier

with the color mapping you can basicly adjust the dark and bright areas by adjusting the multipliers

Hi Giraffe, I see that you are changing your mind about Brazil. Vray is better I am sure... I think we will see this in Anet forum in a few days time.
            Good luck

@anubis : well you are right I guess. the only way to make these dull architectural presentations is to add some adventure

                  @heroes5: here are the settings

                    Hi Giraffe,

I think if you decrease the noise for the water you might be able to catch the look that you are after .. it seems as if the effect that you have in the pimage would go for a lake that is seen fromn far away...the other thing is maybe you should make it a bit more clear .. more transparent..

                    Nice work though...

Use exponential color mapping and increase the dark multiplyer. Tune up your GI.
