No it is modelled and UV mapped. It is very difficult to remove the label from a modern whisky bottle without damaging it, so I had to settle for photographing it in situ.

Probably what you are noticing is that the lighting 'baked' into the image doesn't match the scene lighting.

thanks man, I have a similar project (with chivas regal) from cycles, but I am new in V-Ray blender node tree and I have a lot to learn.
