    Hello.

Nice but i dont really see any dof (?), but area lights are ok.

I love lego, i had a ton of them when i was a kid, at one point my mom flipped her lid because they were laying all over the house. I had to tidy them up, and thats when i stopped playing with them . Over the years i lost most of my lego plans, so does anyone know can they be found on the internet?

This one in particular, it is originaly a big black mean looking car, this is the alternative, but i lost the plans and cant make it back into the car.

Sorry, had to remove the picture because it was ieating a lto of bandwidth, Its model 8880.

Ldraw is a lego cad program, used mostly by fanatics to design their own models.

it's free as are the lego parts libraries, as well as various programs to convert lcad models to max or whatnot.

              Check out ldraw.org

Zero Fractal - Looks cool mate It's been so long since I've made any 3D Lego models. LDraw is awesome ay?

Dusan - This wouldn't happen to be what you were after would it?

It's a cool little program which allows you to create 3D Lego models. To use the pieces in Max you'll need to convert the pieces (stored in Dat format) to DXF. You can get a converter here:

                http://www.geocities.com/Eureka/Gold/3269/dat2dxf.html

Once in Max you may have to modify the part slightly as they're not always imported.

Here's some of the things I've made with LDraw...unfortunantly back then I only had access to the standard Max renderer

Zerofractal, you've insipred me to start building again

P.S Sorry if i've hijacked your thread

What happened to good old LeoCad?
                    Is Ldraw easier to use?

Trixian, personally I don't use Ldraw to make the models, I convert all the pieces to DXF, import them into Max, make any fixes to the piece I need, then save it as a max file. (When saving, I make sure the perspective viewport is selected with the whole piece showing so you get a good thumbnail of the piece) Save all your pieces into 1 directory and then open up using the asset browser. Find the directory where you logo pieces are saved and then you have a drag & drop Lego collection

has anyone made a public library of lego pieces in max format?

i mean if someone has something like that it would be much easyer then everyone converting the pieces.

i would love to play around with this but i have no time to install ldraw and convert all the lego pieces to max.
