  • Engine Explosion

    Hi,

here is a project finished a few weeks ago for Ford.
The flames were done with Phoenix. So easy to use. The GPU preview give instant feedback which is the best feature for me.

    Hope you like it.

    Cheers.

      very nice!
any insight about the making of the flames? just a push of temperature coming from the cylinders?

I filled the combustion chamber with fuel, then I had a source that was emitting head. That created the explosion, then I had another source discharging more fuel but very quickly to create a second explosion that the client wanted when the pistons come down.

Sorry for reviving such an old thread, but didn't want to create a new one regarding this very topic.

I need to do something similar, but I can't seem to get this working. Is it possible you could expand a little bit more on how this was done? I'm VERY inexperienced when it comes to PhoenixFD, so my apologies for the simple question. I understand I need the various sources, but how do I set them up to interact with each other or start the fuel on fire?

            Thanks everyone!
