All good Architectural photography have correct verticals.
If you use a standard camera with a different height for the target than that of the camera it causes converging verticals, which in severe cases make the building appear almost triangular.
In the real word to correct this a photographer would use a Shift lens by raising the lens panel vertically, relative to the film plane, and not tipping the camera.
I generally use a wide angled camera with the target at the same height as the camera and then crop or use the Technical camera modifier that can be downloaded. Sorry I cant remember where I downloaded it.

3ds max6 can correct verticals: put your viewport in camera-view, then right-click on the viewport. So you can add the camera-modifier that can permit you to control the verticals. This kind of modifier isn't present on control panel. If you use max 5 there's a script around to manage verticals....

hello folks, i guess you all are missunderstooding dorizio image... i ask you, how can he correct vertical lines if they are in the real photo? when we do a photomontage, its intended to put 3d in a way wich it fit the photo, so if the photo have paralaxe effect , thus, 3d will have too. I know that when we do a new image , its important to avoid vertical lines, but if he had done in this photo, things will be really weird because buildings in the photo will be different from 3d building. What do you think about it?
