With saving the IRR and a material over-ride, how do you handle glass and sunlight? Do you just turn the glass off?

Also, obviously two schools of thought. You can't pre-calc an IRR when you are using BF. Has anybody compared the two, side-by-side?

I have to redo the first one; it's not clean enough. I used a 1/2 size pre calculated LC and IRR maps. I'll redo the first one with a full size pre-calc.

Some last minute design changes and request for people. I got the render times down to 12 minute pre-calculation and 1.5 hours render times (3200 x 1800). I think it looks good, but when I zoom in everything has white spec; what would clean this up with hurting render times to much?

Did you render out raw light/reflection/sample rate elements?
I'd take a guess that it's reflection samples. could be some light samples are too low as well.

I did render out all and the reflection is noisy, but I already have it 180 subdivs.

what's your noise threshold set to? it might be that some other setting is not allowing that to kick in. 180 should be spotless - 64 is like as clean as it's possible to get for me most of the time.

I forget now, but I'll look. It's not noise, it's little white spots, over almost everything.

It might be okay, you really can't see it unless you zoomed in and the deliverable on this job is print. Unfortunately, clients view proofs on the screen and they ALWAYS zoom into the image at a microscopic level and get critical on the smallest oddity.

Is it just me, or is there way too much going on in this space? A whole lot of materials being mixed.

That is noise though... it's reflection noise. if 160 subdivisions aren't cleaning it up then vray must think that however it ended up is just fine.
Can you post the rest of your settings?

It seems to be mostly on the people and now that I think of it, I merged people after I optimized the scene. So, the people have default subdivs. I am seeing a little bit on the other materials, but nothing worth worrying about. Yesterday at 4:30 pm I got an email with last minute design changes and the request for people. The kicker is they have a meeting today and need the images for their client meeting. I spent all not rendering out the still... Not perfect, but done! And, they seem happy (Iam not).
