One of the main reasons I jumped into MODO was the simplicity to get complex environment scenes with few clicks. I really like that you can fill a whole ground with objects with random scales. I've been testing different simple scenarios and this morning I came up with a five minute test that I'm very happy with. It's nothing special but I liked how easy was to set up and how short the render time took. Modo and Vray have become a very good combination for me and I can't wait to develop a more complex scene with it ( I gotta say I CAN'T WAIT for the Vray Dome Light that I work with constantly in production ).
Here you have the test in Full HD:

Adaptive DMC:
Min: 1
Max: 100
Threshold: 0.01
Vray GI:
Brute Force:
-Subd: 256
-Depth: 3
Light Cache:
-Subd:256
-Depth:3
Render Time: 7m,16.3s
I didn't spend long time trying to optimize or anything like that so I am pretty sure I could spend more time optimizing while getting a cleaner result.
Conclusion, I am very happy that we have Vray for Modo.
