nice work ...you sorted your problem out with the bad face's.
my only coment is that the rug on the floor look's a little odd around the pattern, it looks as if its raised and has a shadow under it.
the hammer could do with a little more specular, but overal a very nice image ... Congrats
Looks great. Only a few things i see that could improve it.
Rubber mallet could use some blurry specular
Pipes in the corner would have some fittings
Border of cork board could be wood or if plastic maybe it could use a bright spec.
Brass handles look like plastic. Are you using VRay material with Ward for the shader?
Really nice lighting though Looks like you only used one light but it works great.

Only glass,chrom material and garbage box are vray's, the rest are standard mats..
I resolve the problem with black squares by using vray material, in this render everthing looks OK, but without GI they are a little noticable squares but they have texture color.
