No they are not. Because in the end they are not paying us for the work we do but they buy our agreement to them being right.

I think the version you preferred is more impressive but that the version your client chose is more instantly recognisable as a moustache in outline. So I wouldn't say it's a totally unreasonable decision. Very nice chocolate shader and sculpting either way!
