long time since my last posting. too much work at the moment. here´s a little side project for a "kitchen producer". goal was to create a studio atmosphere. this means a bit steril, no background etc.

Although it looks a little larger then in life, its a device that restrants use to was dishes. They are pretty handy little things too.

My only crits is that the scale looks off, so the roomk looks a heck of alot larger then it should be. Which makes it less inviting and more remote and cold.

just a little suggestion...your vitra chair under the table shouldnt be that dark especialy if you have good lighting overalls.

only the handles of the drawers at the back seem to vanish and melt away.

Really nice work. Could you post a wire frame so we can see your lighting arrangement? Their settings would be good too.

Great job man!! I just love that very slight DOF you got there. but the thing on the sink looks waaay to big, and the shadows under the table are too strong too, other than that, i cant find anything else!! Great Job man!!!
                        Best Regards.

Very sweet... I would have to agree on the AA. It looks like you used Catmull... with such straight lines, it really tends to alias a lot. I would consider using Mitchell... but that is just me.

                              tanks so far.

the glass is a eggz material. the wine was by arrival.

there is NO gi in the scene. it´s just a lightsetup like in the old days ambient light, direct with negative shadow from the ceiling, area light in front of the windows, some omnis to fill the dark areas. the main gi look comes from the dirtmap shader from MR. that renders a "faked" gi solution within a few minutes. in photoshop you can easily combine these pictures (vray rendering and dirtmap). the dirtmap looks like this
