We just got one of our first Animations completely rendered in V-Ray up on our site. Compression on the videos still needs work but it is viewable. Hopefully I will be able to post the whole animation soon.

Cool image, but those stone tiles are actually hurting my eyes
I dont know, maybe its too sharp, maybe you could try with some displacement.

excellent stuff, the video also very good, only one little comment on the video,I think make sense some transition between clips, it switches quite rough, just a few frame fade into the next clip would do it.

Very impressive!! I think I need to work 10 more years to get to this level. Images at your site are awesome. Love your sky. May I ask which library collection that is?

              nice work Eric.

they only comment is the stone...it's a bit distracting because of the tiling....but that's pretty minor....

I really like your pavement texture....lighting looks great

Good to see that the project finally finished after many painful months.
It came out really good, a very nice job.
You guys need to do something about the compression on the animations though.

Thank's for the nice comments all, The project encompassed several 100's of hours and a large team of modelers, photoshop artists and animators (including cbutler before he went to some production house, what was it, Blur or something? :P ) .

@davis- lol, there is pretty good money in washing cars, hmmm...

@dusan - hehe, yes the stone is pretty bad, I should of picked a better one for the post .

@losbellos - I agree, this video is just a few of the clips thrown together from the complete video which is several minutes long. I am hoping we can get the full video posted.

@nikulu - I think it one of the skies we have had for years, sorry I don't know where it came from.

                    @Seraph135 Thanks! :P

@cbutler - Painfull? well Brian still cringes when somebody says Pacific City and budget in the same sentence.
Your work on the retail at sunset , steals the show, nice stuff

@Cocolas - a very, very, very long time :P (hehe I'll see If I can post a closer figure)

                      rerender,

Are you modeling and animating the birds flying? Could you explain what you do for that? I assume alot of people are using images and including them in post produciton for stills...but for animations????????

                      Thanks,
                      Arkitec

RERENDER where did you get those realistic walking people, are they a library, or custom in house work?

Birds are comped in post, just some footage of birds flying with the sky keyed out.

People are mostly from a green screen shoot we did specificly for this project, with a few rpc's and marlins thrown in.

Wow, nice work man I love how every edge looks so natural. You guys truly captured the variety in landscaping and that's what really makes this image for me. Reflections and shadows work perfect. I bet your client was
                              happy

The animation is so diverse too. What was the biggest challenge overall for your animation pipeline? Any of those many lighting scenario that you
                              particularly like?
