  • Small apartmentbuildings interiors + exteriors

    Hello,

I just finished this series of images for a new client. I am very happy with how the interiors turned out, not so much the exteriors. Too much stress and not enough time at the end of the project...

A lot of the furniture bought on designconnected and turbosquid. Simpler things like tables, some chairs and shelves made by me. The rugs in the bath and kitchen was fun. The fringes was made with Hair and Fur.

Lighting very basic Vray sun/sky on most images. The exterior eveningshot has one of Peter Guthries hdris as a dome.

I would love to get some crits and comments on these!

    Thanks
    Kalle

The sunlight patch in the second interior render looks a little burnt to me, needs a bit of logarithmic "shoulder" to bring some detail back in, otherwise beautiful work.

            very nice especially the interiors,
maybe the grass and paving could do with some work on the dusk shot, looks a little too uniform/clean
i always find exteriors way harder to be happy with than interiors

              Thanks!

joconnell - youre right, its too burnt out. I almost always push the images a little too far in photoshop (the raw renders were much darker and gray-ish). Its a difficult balance i think to get it bright enough without loosing details. The dusk shot for example was alot brighter at first. I toned it down in the end which made it alot better, but It could be turned down more.

tom182 - yep, its a very basic material and I think i forgot/didnt have time to add any details in photoshop. Exteriors ARE alot more difficult. I always struggle with trees/grass/bushes etc. And its alot harder to fill a large space with enough details to make it look real.
