Final work as a freelancer...joining another firm.
well....there is about 700000 faces...it took abut 1 hour to render...as you can see...the glass and alucobond material both have reflection and gloss applied...the grid comes later when i apply uvwmap according to the size i want....modeling was done in autocad....and yesssss...its huge. modeling was done to exact detail...every partition, wall window, frame and railing was rendered....none was turned off for rendering.
me too, i has "grown up" with acad, i think it is much much easier and faster to get exact models in autocad. even if you have to mix vector drawings with 3d stuff. its easier to make changins. esp. if you have a lot of stuff in the acad drawing - like construction plans or helpconstructions for 3d - you do not import this in max and you dont have to clean it up, if you take advance of the layerstructure of acad.
well to me its easyier in cad..because it has good drawing tools...and easily imported into max....but usually i draw most of the 2d and import them in max..
