I like them..very nice detail....my comment is on the lighting:
I think the lighting is a bit "forced" into the room (with the orage walls)...I doubt you'd get that much light into the room just from that one window..even if it's relatively large.....probably it could use some more contrast/darker areas to make it pop out a little more.....

overall the detail and materials are stunning.....very well done!!

      Hi Alex,

As usuall! I was just STUNNED by your work!

I just want to be as expert as you are in interiors

BTW, I have been keeping some questions that I want to ask you for ages,
about this interior, could you please Alex tell me how much lights you are using, and for the VRay lights, are they decayed or not?

Secondary bounces, are they direct or photons? and how many bounces?
And about skylighting, using any? Environment multiplier or skylight?

Sorry for so much questions, but I love your works.

      Yours Faithfully.

        congratulations

        congratulations

        as always great works

even if I agree with cocolas the light is a bit pushed for me!!
I mean I think u need a little decay, more contrast in non directly illuminated areas

        IS ONLY MY OPINION

        anyway great

In the scene there are only 2 lights. Vray light and Direct for the sun. I used photon mapping in secondary. Environtment was about 1,2

As I looked at the real world light distribution I understood It goes almost without decay (I mean only "window" light). The render of the picture of course had this decay before I edited it in PHOTOSHOP. I removed the decay of the light in Photoshop myself. Let's say THIS WILL BE MY OWN STYLE

                  Thanks Alex for replying,

By the way, the whole image is wonderful, as usuall, I have a comment to make though,

I think you need to increase the anti-aliasing samples a little bit, or maybe the ringing multiplier is a little bit high, (in case you are using Mitchell Netravali AA filter).

                  Your's

The image size was 1600x1200. Render time was 4 hours 30 minutes.
Not so long ago I used in secondary DIRECT COMPUTATOIN - it took long time to render. But using photons it is quite fast

great job looks like lots of glossy reflections going on there

I'm surprised how much arch vis/interior stuff is posted on this forum , most of it very impressive too

                        great image as usual!
would post the image before your work in ps, or maybe post a r.o.o.m (right out of max) pic?

                        best regards

I use planar Vray light here. The best solution for the best visualization is your own tests. Do not look at other artists settings. You would better test Vray yourself and than you will feel the render by your mind. I spent half a year for Vray testing.

More samples on the door, maybe a little less light, there does seem to be an abundance of light in the room, other than that it looks excellent!
