    Ho guys,

I have this store of which I get pretty good pictures.

But when I sometimes add materials my picture just turns out completely RED. Very strange.. I know the blotch stories, but this is something very strange, because I always render a new image after I add a material, I know which material could cause it, yes? So when I again delete the material I just added I also get my red image.. The only way is to completely make your scene a vray material default white and start adding your materials all over. Reset max doesn't help either. And I always have it when I turn my vraylights from visible to invisible.

I use vraylights IRmap and photon map in second computation.

    Good image.

Then I added a wood material to the squares on the door and a chrome material (from the goncalo vray matlib). It could also be a normal material with which I get the red image.

Please help me out here... thx

    Nicolaas

1: make sure you have uvw coordinates for all your objects.
2: try checking "apply" in "Cropping/Placement" for all maps!

    hope this helps.

is this with the new internal builb ?
i had a problem where max was dropping the textures and vray rendered in a simular fashion... just save and restart max to reload, if thats the problem

Anders: I don't have a UVW map for chrome models... will check it out. About the cropping/placement... will check it out also,...

Natty: How are ya ? Well, it's 1.09.03n... When I save and reload it doesn't go away..

we've had blue renderings...seems to be when vray doesnt quite pick up a new bitmap now and then...a rerender seems to solve it...

never had one completely blue/red though
