It's not by chance for a UK outfit, is it? Unless all houses in the UK are the same, it might be for someone I did work for last year.Last edited by glorybound; 05-02-2016, 06:56 AM.Bobby Parker

Yes. I tend to keep my light source over my shoulder, not behind or in front. I keep the shadow down to 1/3 of the image and the light 2/3. I rotate my building the same. I probably read that somewhere and I use it as a rule of thumb.

Yes Bobby, it is 'that' UK outfit .................. the sun is set up via a daylight system (so North is where it should be), so depending on the time of day, anywhere between West and East (within reason), as long as some sunlight gets on the front of the house, so some smart alec can't say it's in the wrong position. Although recently they did and was proved wrong.
Vlado, I always use a daylight system, VRay sky and render with SolidRocks, simple and always works, then goes thru a stringent post production process, using many passes to create the effect I want and utilising my 'ancient' airbrushing skills to paint gradients.Last edited by Spikeadeliv; 05-02-2016, 03:09 PM.
