  • Little Robot (Overwatch)

Had a little time for myself and since I am pretty excited for the upcoming game Overwatch from Blizzard I decided to model the little sidekick robot of one of the characters. Pretty happy with how it turned out so I decided to upload it here

That is a lovely little robot!

I realise it's much more of a pain, but I think it would be cool if the LEDs making up his eyes are either on or off, the ones that are 'cut' look a little strange.

Crap XD Okay let's go with dust.

Since the character in the game is more winter themed I wanted to give the overall appearance of maybe some left over snow well that failed hard. So dust it is!

          Still thanks Brendan!

haha ok. Maybe he'd need some icicles or this sort of effect on the surface --

It's hard to imagine this little guy with his jet engines would be cold enough to have much ice on him. Or maybe the jets should feel icier so it's propelled by some fantasy ice engine.

It was probably a mistake trying to solve this with just a texture. I'll give it another go with some additional scattered ice geo on the head metal parts.
But what you say is true. Its at least one reason why I left the 'jet engines' clean of "dust". :P

Well should have used geo for the frost from the start. It was much less hassle to apply and looks alot better. Only downside the render times go up ....but progress!
Will upload the new version once its finished rendering.
