I'd be inclined to camera match the bad bg image and do a render from that camera for your own portfolio if you want to put it on your site - the client can use the wrong version if you want once you've got a proper version for your own press!

I have no plans on showing it as my own like that. If I have time, I'll put some work into it; maybe buying a high resolution night photo of the city, on the internet. I have already did some searches.

They ended up wanting just a sky in the backround. Much better!

I finally got a photo, however, they took it looking straight out the back of the house, smack-dab in the middle. Also, all the buildings seem to have their own vanishing points. I think the city follows a river. I did my best!

I guess the background mask doesn't work behind glass. I'll have to photoshop that.

I would hide the cutoff point between the backplate and your grass with bushes and a few trees. Will match the photo as it has foliage aswell but will make it more natural.

I had that, however, he wanted it removed. The property drops right there, apparently extremely.

What are those white lines either side of the house at the back of the grass, looks like it could be clearvu fence, however its not "clear" what it is. Also the angled front edge of the top part above the garage, those 2 horizontal edges looks weird, probably just a mapping issue. I think in real life they would just make that with 1 tile, not cut like that, might be just me.

Other than that, this one has come on nicely since that first image at the start of this thread.
                      Kind Regards,
                      Morne

Those, my friend, are electrical wires . I am not sure about the other questions, but the model was built off of their drawings.

I think you could do with a new sky and the dirt streaks on the concrete make it look a bit run-down

Agreed. I'll see if I can help the sky, I'll tone down the dirt, and I am going to paint the electrical wires out.

New sky, removed the electrical wires and painted some grass for a better transition from background and ground. Oh, and I removed the dirt all-together. Click image for larger version
