I've been playing with photogrammetry a lot lately and came up with this after scanning a bunch of veggies.

    Top notch as usual.

The carrots look a bit too smooth to me. Also, the cauliflower needs deeper grooves or a rougher texture. But that's just being picky. Well done.

What did you use for the scans and to create the models from the scans?
    Kind Regards,
    Morne

Yes, the cauliflower is stretching credulity. I used photogrammetry for scanning (Agisoft's Photoscan). It needs loads of surface detail for high accuracy and the cauliflower's all-white uniformity makes it struggle. Without enough surface detail, things can get blobby very quickly.

              Hey BB,
I'm using another program that is way waaaay better than Agisoft Photoscan so if you'd like, send me a few shots and I'll pass them through it and send you the results back, you'll see, it will be way better

                nice scans,

and yes it seems photoscan has some serious competition now... I'll post some city models I've been working on at some point.

though photoscan is a lot less beta feeling. and a good option for this sized work.

That piece of ginger is the biggest i have ever seen.
we need to utilize photoscan a bit more, got some good trees out of it but there's a massive list of stuff we want to grab. need some downtime.

                          Sure, Reality Capture

Best on the market as of today as it creates waaay better results than photoscan and is at least 250x faster

I have a license sonif you guys want to try it out, just send the shots and I'll pass it through the mix

yeah rc is a lot faster.

but you cant export cameras to max yet. i think it works on maya. but like a lot of things in that software it will be coming soon.
