I would maybe round the corners on the oven hood though. I think the stainless steel could be a little better too. Adding more interp. samples would probably make it less grainy. Maybe make it more anistropic too?
so what's for breakfast??......maybe put some bacon on that plate :P
nice lighting and mats.......I do agree w/ Jon about the green refelctions...,aybe tone them down a bit/more subtle.......also the outside seems a bit too washed out.....I know it usually does look wasked/over bright, but maybe bring back some color to it, I think it would have to define it a bit more......
Thanks everyone for the comments, they all help when you've been stairing at these things for hours on end.
Fran - Your words mean alot, I'm a great admirer of your work. The render time was 10h43min on a dual 2.8 with 2 gig of ram.
I applied glossy reflections to every item in the scene to test not only the look, but also the time of rendering. This shot the time up considerably but I do like the look it gives. Time to buy a render farm.
To save some time for the test render I checked the "store with irradiance map" option for the two vray lights in the scene. This effects the small shadow detail quite abit and for the final render, I will uncheck this.
J_bug - Thank you. The green reflections are from outside the room from the trees and grass. I will look into them and see what I can do to tone them down a little. The photo I used of the original room has even more of the green reflections on the hood and frig because the wall you can't see is all windows. I was actually surprised how much color the real metal reflected. It's much stronger than what I show in the render.
timmatron - Thanks,I tried to use anistropic reflections on the metal but I got some very nasty black splotches when I tried. Chaos is working on the problem.
paul - thanks very much. I really enjoyed your hospital room and was inspired to try glossy reflections on everyting because of it. Thanks
The image still needs work and I will make some changes and post the final when its done. Thanks again, for the help.
Hey !
really nice ! but for my taste it is maybe a bit too clean...
maybe put some kind of textute (bump or light texture) on the white cupboards...
maybe the floor is too shiny...allready quote maybe
put some buttons on the "air thing"
and maybe turn your camera a bit on the right...open the fridge to see some stuff inside and put some salade on the table or tomatoes mozarella !
Looks great, my only couple of crits would be that the thing above the stove (I honestly do not know what it's called) seems to be aluminum on the front, but on the sides it seems to be a plaster, like the molding. It just threw me off a bit. The outside looks a tad strange somehow, I'm not quite sure why. It really looks fantastic though.
Nice one...strange to see a sink under the window, i think isn't a good position....you know, the water on the glass....but this isn't a render matter!

In the US, it is almost standard. When I designed our house, I made sure my husband would have a nice view to the outside while he was washing the dishes.
nice render man! Im curious about your light source though. could you post a screenshot showing your lighting setup? looks like too much lighting coming from behind to me.
The window above the sink DOES look a little odd, only because it looks so low. I would think the frame wouldn't be lower then the faucet, but who knows. Did you base this on a picture?
About the brushed aluminum. Im using the latest version and if you check out my interior wip, Im not having issues with black splotches for some reason.
