  • Latest Work: Exterior Perspective

    Hi All,

After looking at this for too long now I thought I'd see what you guys think.

What do you think of the Architecture?

    it's certainly interesting!

can you give us a bit more information regarding the purpose of the building?
it might help a bit in making a more informed decision about the architecture...

for example - i don't think it would make a very good morgue...

      Superb CT!!!

Congrats, I find it's a very original architecture.

How have you gotten the perforated effect? with opacity map or pure 3D mesh?
Excuse for my poor GlobaLink english.

s0real: The building is an inner city apartment block. One and two bedroom apartments only. It's called "Miro Apartments", named after the Spanish Artist Miro. The image on the perforated screening is done by an Australian artist called John Coburn who has been influenced by Miro.

ReNdEr3D: Glad you like it. I just used a good old opacity map.

        Hope this helps.

interesting looking architecture, but the colors make for an incredible eyesore.

in my opinion the architecture doesn't really fit in with the surroundings too well from what i can see in this view... everything else looks a little grey in comparison.

also, it's hard to understand the building from this angle alone - e.g. are the sticking out bits some kind of window or shutter?

i'd be interested in seeing some other views of the building, not necessarily in it's environment, to gain a better understanding of how it works...

nice render btw! perhaps a few too many smart cars...

Nice work. Is that perforated wall a single sized or double sided surface? The way I've always done it is to apply an alpha map on, say a one inch surface, but I can't contol the double-sidedness and so it appears wrong.

percydaman: I agree with you on the colour. I think the whole street will turn red when the afternoon sun hits it.

s0real: Hopefully the images below help to understand what's happening. There are two main buildings one at the front and one at the back with a nice open courtyard in between them.
Agree with you on the Smart Cars... the developer was doing a promotion with them.

Da_elf: The Smart Car model was from Turbosquid.

Vrayray: I did it the same way you do. When you look closely you can see imperfections.

Thanks for the comments on the render aswell guys. Appreciate it.
