why dont you try remoddeling the components just like in the image you are wanting to recreate? Its like 2 cylinders and a torus. Ive seen this thread like 3 different times. Read the tutorial on caustics and goto www.vray.info

Your starting to give the impression that your just lazy and aren't interested in really learning anything on your own.

ive never understood the growing trend in people who are new to 3dsmax who think that an advanced rendering package will make their models look better. learning a new rendering package should be one of your last steps in learning 3d.
