      Hey Tom, hey Lichtecht!

I'm sitting in a little Village called Bishop somewhere between Death Valley and Yosemite National Park and wow what a luck - here's an internet access!!!
I see you finished the Job? Congrats - it looks like Lichtecht Quality again. Very very Nice. I think you got the most out of this boring machine.
Nice Animations, nice Camera, nice materials, good cut... Congrats!
What about the time this time? War stressig?
Ok, unfortunately you're not on MSN I think i will be online again when we reach L.A. and San Fransisco later.

Gruss an Ulli, Matthias und York. Gute Arbeit Jungs!

        Hi all

        to Nvanherpt

the wireframes are renderable splines, we made comming out from rhino .
they are rendered with max scannliner only simple selfilu material doublescize of pal for better antialiasing. i rendered two versions. the wireframe and the wireframe with those machineparts inside in deep black, to get a mask for cutting away wireframes behind the machine parts.

third pass are the machineparts rendered in vray and backround as a matte vray obj.

fourth pass is the backround alone.

this way we had the most flexibillity for compositing which this time was done in aftereffects.

Hej we miss you here. nice to hear from you. it seems work is overwelming us this month. it´s getting more and more now. (at last a good thing). Klaus does his job well and seems to be a gentle guy.

We are looking for a new location for our company now ( two houses away we found a first possibility with about 160 m² .

and this week we did 9 yes nine complete jobs. 5 bootles for peter schmidt, 2 interiors, möbel for bothe richter therani, three houses for pannier, 20 bottles for a new company that heard from us at peter schmitdt, lenffer, and at last airbus has called again.

i don´t know how or when we will come back to our city project. but it will be done at last and it will be lichtecht quality and better

hope we here from you again soon. have a fantastic time on the other side of the earth .

Greetings form mathias and ulli to ( York is in holydays)

        Tom

            thanks tom.

i initially thought you may have used the vrayedgestex material. i had a play with it but didn't get great results. do you often render double-sized for anti-aliasing?

              Hi nvanherpt

well we only did this doublescise for this special job. it works well when you use simple scannliner and is fast. but in vray i would use other technics for better antialiasing of course.
