      Data conversion for this job was done with VRED for the tessellation of .wire files and then exported out into .FBX and brought in to Maya.

        Thanks for the tip, your results are great! Do you find vred handy for consolidating / grouping all the various parts into something more manageable - an object per type of material for example?

          Thanks!

          VRED can really help for Data prep, in terms of groups for bumpers headlamps etc, if your variants are setup correctly you can really output different configurations with ease. In terms of shading it helps if your alais guys work super clean and shade / name everything correctly if you are working with design data. On the other hand if you are working with CATIA you might have to apply your own shaders and clean b side surfaces.
