Well, it's a good start
I like the plants'shadow on the wall.
The stones are a bit strange, aren't they ?
I avoid grey concret because when I print it seems very "sad" or old.
People don't like it.But on the screen, I like it
According to your sun, I would make the sky less dark.
Maybe that can help to pronunce the contrast...........and so an atmosphere.
Good work though.......
The sunlight is a pretty cold color. The plants also look a little thin and weak for such a heavy looking environment. I also agree with doan's comments. I like the design though.
coming along nicely......I personaly don't care much about the design....if you made it up....it seems a bit tight and somewhat dinge.....partially is probably because of the cold light and grey concrete. Maybe using a tan/warmer concrete and lighting would make it look more inviting
I really like the pebbles/rocks....are those displaced?......same with the shadows of the bamboos....maybe they could use a bit bigger leafs (even if that's not real) just to add a little more green to the scene's color pallete....same comments for the sky as doan...maybe some nice clouds in there could add some points of interest and feel for background deepth.
putting something on the table/s like a plate or glass or flower vase could also add to it......just some thoughts
yeah, I know what you mean by 90 degree weather......it's in the triple digits here in the Midwest, and a shady spot like that would definatly come in handy :P ......I suppose there in Cali (or "Culifornia" :P ) you have longer hit waves though....
The part I like is where the light plays off the chairs and tables, (even though I dont really like the table or its material) it looks darn near photoreal to me with regards to lighting. I agree the image is cold, but hey what are you going to do, life is like that sometimes.
The image has a cramped feeling that actually makes me uneasy. Might be because I just woke up and had a dream about living in a cave, might not. If your recreating a photograph then fine, but if you have ANY leeway, IMO open it up a bit.
The plants look like marijuana plants, which in itself is fine I suppose, but I dont see any color variation on the leaves, are they just green or is there a bitmap on them?
Finally, the rocks are okay, especially in the background portion of the image, but the ones in the foreground lower right, they need work. To me, they dont match the lighting, they look too bright, and where they meet with the concrete, it doesn't look right at all.
Its a nice image coming together
percy

cool image but somethings not right about the refelctions on the table surfaces, they just do not look right, too luminous or something, overall the image is spot on, good..
