  • recreating my real sculptures as virtual sculptures

As the title says. I'm taking old photos of old sculptures I made years ago (the sculptures are long gone) and recreating them as 3D models and then rendering them out. the first run I used fstorm and this batch I am using vray. I don't see much difference in the two sets of renders other than I took the vray images fusion into give the lights a glow. The sculptures were made at a time when I was looking at David Smith, Anthony Caro and Donald Judd so purely formal. The idea was to take known volumes (furniture) and apply formal sculptural thought. Nice and simple. The only difference is in the real sculptures I had applied florescent paint on the underside and bounced light on the ground up with the renderings I turned the undersides into lights Just a personal project for fun.

    Cheers,
    Val
