I'm in the UK. A college or university cannot require students to use any particular software. We also have Max and Maya, but these kitchen images I rendered at home and can render on two machines there to save some time. So, sometimes Max, sometimes Blender

V-Ray and Blender are installed on computers at the university, though not Blender for V-Ray . . .
