First ocean waves test

My first attempt for ocean waves.
Didn't follow any tutorial or presets. Just started to play from zero.

Many things looks still quite off, but the next version will be perfect... I hope.

Sweet, this is very good for a first try!

You definitely need to increase the "droplets surfing" parameter so that the splashes at the leading edge of the waves are not consumed immediately by the liquid mass

Good tip! Gonna try that for the next version.
I also need to lower the pattern strength of the foam. It just looks too strong.

very nice ocean test. Is there a way you can share your settings and show the scene build up? would be nice.

@Svetlin.Nikolov is there a way to make this larger? Maybe combine with the ocean surface?

Larger as in slower and more epic? Then it would happen by decreasing the velocity of the ocean tex, combined with increasing the scene scale under the Grid rollout (moved it there from the Dynamics, if you are not using a latest nightly yet)

At the moment the scene doesn't look like a big ocean, so that's what I mean with "make it larger", to get a nice big scene looks like a real ocean. I don't think that it would be good to use a simulation box for this or?

Oh, why not? It's always better to use simulation because faking it usually shows up - with larger scene scale and larger and slower ocean tex for the wave force it should look quite epic. Only problem is that this might not blend well with the ocean outside the simulation box, so you have to pick your camera angles
