  • Still Life with Honey

Just posted this and thought I would share it here. Done in Max 2016. The IPR was a great help here, and I used the opportunity to dig a bit deeper into ZBrush and Quixel Suite. Lot more shots and a viewport scene walkthrough on my blog.

Thanks guys. Yeah, my blog has been inaccessible on-and-off (seems to be better now, though very slow). I guess it's one of the hazards of being hosted by Yahoo. I wrenched myself from their email, but changing host is more complicated...

Thanks guys. The reason I've not done post-processing tuts is because I tend to use one-click solutions like ArionFX. So there's just not a lot to say. Also, there's almost nothing that's systematic about it. I can't remember ever using the same settings or approach twice for images.

perhaps, you just could ask to see RAW render, it could be alright, no ?

Anyway, awesome work, as usual... Kudos !!

for these scenes also, would love to see some of his post processing no matter how simple, this guy is one of the reasons why i love this type of work, before i start anything new i usually flip through his blog for some inspiration actually no jokes and for years his renders have been my screen saver, even now, whether or not Bertrand shares his process hey, stil his work is amazing.

No trade secret, believe me. Just random screwing around in ArionFX till I like the result. And no presets either since no single setting seems to work well for any two images. But a lot of people are asking and so I may publish a screencast of my fumbling in ArionFX, which will likely be very anticlimactic.
PS: This is the raw render below:
