  • 1st post: House C&C please

Hello, my very 1st post here. I'm very new with vray and I'm learning from you guys everyday. Modeled in autocad, render in Max6/vray

I appreciate your C&C..thank you very much!

I'm slowly adding in materials..initially was a B&W render for form and space study....I need your valuable comments on the lighting, especially for the indoor portion

I see a big contrast between bad and very good mapping.
Lighting is great but it is too dark in interior for this amount of light from the sun. Put some vraylights in windows to push in some light.

          great work

my only comment is the underside of the roof .. you need to raise Hsph and maybe your Dist threshold ... to take away the blotchyness

I love your design. Very good architecture. I think there`s a problem with environment light. It seems to be too high. Your light looks became from sky but not from sun like it should. I think you have to decrease your environment light and increase yor sun light. If you find your interior too dark you have to make your secondary bounces higher.
when you resolve the light then you will reflect yourself on the vase (wonderfull material).

              Hi there,

              nice picture, good lighting
and the amphora in the front looks fantastic !!.

If you want to light up your indoor space without adding more lights.
Increase your sunlight strength and activate "HSV Exponetial" Color Mapping.

Looks amazing, but there is one thing I find a bit confusing. The chairs on the deck and parts of the house have steep shadows to the lower right, however, those shadows don't appear to be on the far left wall.

great render, and nice design, congratulations.

Just one note, about the design:

THat wall at the end of the pool with the 3 holes, i dont think it should be there, you should rotate it 90ยบ, and place it right at the end of the pool (facing it), the 3 holes could be water falls, and behind the wall you could still hide the pool installations (i think that the main reason so far, aint it?)
