    Awesome! Almost perfect!

    Why Almost?

I don't like the look of the stones on the down left corner of the image. They look very "bumbmapped" - can you use displacement instead or get a picture with higher resolution?

Other than that - beautiful. Wonderful Light, rtistic water with subtle caustics on the walls. Nice colors. Congrats!

            beautiful

            about the "almost part"

could you try making a wer/shiny deteriorated stone material? Just add glossy reflections to it, it will tone down the "bump map" feel to it.

yes the buildings at the waterline should be consistently grimy, slimy and gross...

vray users are all patriots. look he is spanish. siqueir is spanish.
and look at saluto and all russkys.

after 5 years the new comers have to study (2 credit course) about history of vray and different artistic styles, methods, impressions.

                well we are lucky enough.

and u man! congrats. except the noisy bump lighting impression is just awesome. truly artistic.

The lighting is very nice, I'm not crazy about the textures. They still look way too new to be Venice. Perhaps this is Venice at an earlier time. Still a nice piece though.

                    Very nice image indeed

                    more cartoonish rather than photoreal

maybe you should try more desatured tones for a more convincing venice effect

i agree with the left bottom corner stones crtis and also you have some AA issues with the wires on the roof

                    keep up the good work

I like it, my only comments are that the bricks on the left look funky, a displacement map would suit them better. Add some more grime to where the structures mee the water. The fog in the distance doesn't seem to carry into the background.

no one else thinks the water looks like its solid? Looks like polished concrete. Very nice render though. Someone want to talk about this whole movement in vray (russian/spanish) style?

now that you mention it....I can see your point.....it probably needs a bit more transparency/deepth..

I like the lighting as well......nice detail on the textures too...

                            Very very cool mate!!!

                            Top notch piece of work.

Only crits are the low res bump/displace map at the bottom right of the image, and the fact that the railing gets lost in the sky up the very top of the image...AA problem i assume.

I love the water tho, any tips you can pass on?

Hi all!! Thanks for your comments.
What you can see near the image, are the stones in the water. Maybe it could be better, i take note of it.
I agree with your critics in general.

                              Thanks again....
