excellent texturing! although the red building is 'degraded' a bit inconsistantly perhaps. and i agree there is something not so transparent about the water.

how long did this image take you to complete?

I began in June, but the most work was over june and july. I had no much time, and i worked on it one or two days a week. Really it's difficult to me to say how many hours....In august i just did some details.

did you use a photo as a reference?

Yes, i used a photo, but only as a guide, i changed many things, to give the mood i wanted. I have never been in Venice, so i needed some references, about architecture, etc..
