  • the first render with my new vray- a little room

hello guys, now with the new vray, i am really happy, finally i have done a render without that stupid error messages " unhandled exception ) that was a nightmare for me. i would like to ask you guys a little question, this images have the same settings but the firt one was rendered without store irradiance at vraylights, it tooks 10 hours to be finished and the second one was renderred with store actived on the lights, but it tooks only 2:30... the weird thing is that it looks like with store actived , i have no power on the lights, any of you know what is the deal? i would like to know if there is a way to use store and achieve also quality, because the render times are really far diferentes each other.

What are your irradiance map settings? I do think its suffering from a lack of gi detail on many edges, makes them look like they are floating.

well, i used to think as 800 x 600 in -3 0 would be a good solution, so, if i rendered in 2400 x 1600, i increase two points, thus, i have sed -5 -2 adn 80 in subdivisions, do you think tis not enough?

Those sound alright I guess, but theres also your color threshold, your normal threshold, and your distance threshold. Those can be very important for getting good gi detail in tight areas.

Great scene! The only thing that I think is disturbing the overall beautiful render is the map for the flowers.
