I took a picture of my monitor after it was done rendering. I know its silly but its my first image and i don't want to post an actual rendering until i've completely finished it. Basically, i think i need to finish modeling the ears and do a little more work on the texture maps...any other thoughts.

Sorry the image is so big....just realized it. I'll go and switch it.

I'm more concerned with the overall look....considering there will be very little facial animation being done with it....well not any lip synching anyway, the modeling isn't too too important. Mostly just simple facial expressions.

I'm wondering about things that automatically stand out that you guys think would be improvements. I have my own little list (specular maps,SSS, ears, displacement) going but i think i've lost my objectivity having worked on it alot lately. I guess i need to post an actual rendering.

        I'll post a rendering in a bit.

Actually the only thing that i'm using at this point is GI and a little bit of displacement. I haven't even painted the displacement map yet...its just a desaturated version of the diffuse. I'm hoping to use SSS but i've had very little luck with it...admittedly due to a lack of practice. I still need to paint a specualar map, a proper displacement map as well as work on the eyes and ears. I'm going to try and post the other couple guys i've been working on as well.

One thing I just noticed is the nose. His nostrils don't have quite enough definition yet.

I have an ear for you to use or to look at modelled it for my students once. it´s a bit cartoonish but you can remodel it if you like.

looking excellent, the jaw looks kinda long and stretched till the junction with the neck and near ear area(hard to explain in english for me), but maybe just the view gives me that feeling, congrats keep up that way. Textures looks very good.
