Thanks Zuliban. Always interesting to see other peoples setup. What made you decide to place the tubes like that?

Damnn... i am a C4D user (mac) and i've been folowing threads here about studio set-ups, cause i just don't seem to succeed getting these results out of cinema's advanced render...

as the technical guru's of C4D claim that anything that is possible in vray is possible in cinema i wonder what your thought are about this.

I am mainly modelling, and prefer to see models rendered in a studio set up, plain, clean, sober... and Zulliban your truly a genious when it comes to this.
It would be awesom to see you guys giving it a try with cinema, at cgtalk there is almost every week a new thread about getting close to vray renders... there is a demo to download at http://www.maxon.de
I am just curious how you guys would approach this setup.

Meanwhile hoping for vray standalone mac os x

                great work!

the standalone is coming, but i think it might be the mac os x thing that might kill ya.

                  Z.
this rocks. i dropped some stuff in here that i have been working on and it looks great.
the render times are pretty damn high tho. 4hrs compared to about 20mins with the same materials.

wondering how much optimization you've done on this scene and if there is any room for steamlining.
i know it probably depends greatly on what is being rendered, but i was just curious.

anyway. great job and thanks for being so generous.
