You do realise that a lot of people here work in the architecture/Vis area don't you? People who work in these industries don't need to model high-poly people, naked women etc. Hence the reason so many of the images on here are of bathrooms, kitchens, building exteriors, vases and similar. Simple as that.
And Poser models aren't well-done people either. If he had posted some that he had created from scratch it might be a bit more interesting.
When you live in a glass house, you shouldn't throw stones.
Sory you got such a start, so now lets forget about it, and lets go on gentle. (all of us.).
well. I also love nice characters. so i think this is Work in Progress. Go on refining it, tell us where he comes from, and why he looks so green, what are his ambitions.
this way, we will see what could be done better, and maybe some of us even can help also if we usualy do houses, and vases
it sure is easy to get off the wrong foot. it helps to read before taking offense.....that is to say if the post wasnt edited...lol
nice job tom for bringing into perspective...Ive been lurking on this post....
but ill be the second behind tom (almost like I want to play strip poker but I dont want to ante!)
For me, Ive never modelled anything "really" outside of architectural projects and a couple of snomen......lol
ive done some tutorials for box modeling, but man do I think some of that stuff is tedious.....
i agree with tom, tell us about your friend "greenie!"
actually i think i saw a material post on vray.info that would be perfect for your friend from outer space.
you know whats funny......from what ive been told, those aliens are suppose to be a bit more canny then a simple middle figure......
