Just some new renders on a house ive been working on between projects.

    http://www.elfpro3d.com/CORI/
i havent done much light ballancing or color mapping on it yet. i have a big problem with max light like the wall lights which are omnis. its bright right at the start because light is bouncing around in the wall fixture then it isnt bright then its bright again at the roof. problem with max lights is if you put a light next to a surface really close max will ignore light that hits an object at an extreem angle. so close lights never light a surface evenly

i really dont like the lighting at all, i'm not talking about the errors but it just doesnt turn me on to the screen very well. i think maybe some daylight pics would be better than being lit by just lights at night.

hmm. id been out of it and never saw the replies to this post hehe. umm. no havent tried vrayl ights instead of omnies yet. ill give them a go. Actually i WISH!!! i could use daylight scenes but the client kept tellling me he wants night shots. none of the camera angles are going to be final shots since this is going to be a fly through anim rather than stills. whats a lc2?

and maybe better to make your lights with some yellow-orange tint

hey elf, I'd have to side with giraffe where adding a slight hint of orange or yellow to the lights will "warm" up the room a little.

ill give it a go. actually due to the flooring in this house i had to turn down the saturation of the GI since everything was way too yellow before. i wouldnt mind convincing the client to go with a daytime shot. his main problem is that when i tried for daytime my exteriors were way too bright. see the post in the render theory section

here is a new render. some furniture change and some tweeks here and there ( i know about the curtain hehe one of those messups) the base of that glass coffee table was supposed to be reed like in the reed post but i stupidly forgot to turn on my displacement in the global rollout
