  • "A Nice Day" !(my new interior)

    Hi renderers.. !
I want to show you this interior that I've been working on lately...
please feel free to comment and give suggestions to make this render look better...
as I feel I'm getting better with Vray.. I need some experts tips and comments so I can improve my coming renders..,

    c & c are very welcome ,
and thank you all in advance...

love the swordfish sculpture. IMHO the orange chair has got to go though. Both the color and design really clashes with the rest of the image.

however the sofa looks a bit like less AA settings. or a bit chiselled.

beside this : nice color and atmosphere.

        thank you guys !
percy ,actually I was trying to simulate an image I saw on a magazine,
        and here it is :

so, that orange chair isn't my idea , lol
however ,I saw that it would be something interesting when you put a strong colored object in a calm scene, it would make some kinda contrast..,

        hope for more coming comments...
        thanks again

In the photo, the orange of the sculptures and stripes on the pillow complement the chair much better than the yellow you're using.

              hehe !
well, percy you are the expert here ,I'm still a bigginer with Vray...so your comments are always helpful and constructive to me..,
ummm, well, I can render working off of an image also
but as I mentioned , my purpose is to learn how to simulate real pictures in order to learn how to Vray ..

what do u think of this render guys ?
do u have any suggestions that could make it look better ?

              cheers

your lighting is alot cooler then the images. the image has nice overall warm lighting with the orangish/yellow. Id adjust it from there. also post your render settings and screenshot grab showing where your lights are and their settings.

Id probably make your vray lights slightly yellow. play with the color until it looks right. maybe even play with the GI environment color a little.

I don't think it is just by adjusting colors ...cos I've tried that before,
I want to get rid of that deep shadow in the corner ,and the highlights on the ceiling over the window , cos that doesn't match the real picture,
in the real photo ,you see there's no shadow's in the corner and no strong lighting , it is like what you've said "nice overall warm lighting"
so, what do u think I have to do to achieve this kind of "GI" ,and get a similar result ?

                        need your help expert guys
                        thanks in advance,

That's what you get it you are trying to simulate the light coming through the windows with Vray lights with decay. Skylight behaves more linearly. So maybe turn down these lights and try to get more skylight into the scene (with skylight portals). To get rid of darker corners, you should use photonmapping or (if you are using 1.45.70 or higher) lightmapping for your secondary bounces.

                              thanks Gijs and percy
so ,I have to turn on "skylight portal" and increase the skylight mult in Vray environment dialog..., is that what you mean ?
but what about photon mapping , actually ,I've never used it for this kinda renders , would you please tell me what is the good photon map setting for this scene , ? (I don't have lightmap,)

                              thanks in advance,
