WIP - College Cafeteria

This is a room I designed for a college cafeteria. The client is a furniture manufaturer and asked that I design a cafeteria for their tables for a brochure.

I'm looking for some input on the image as well as input on colors, materials on walls etc. that would look nice in a scene like this.

I can't get much input from the client, they don't seem to know what they want. What a great surprise

Any help would be appreciated.

It's a good start.

Perhaps turning on those down lights and light coves is the next thing to do, since there are no windows on the wall and the room seems too deep to be lit by daylight only.

does it need to be that blue? Add some color to it, maybe the spots on the floor are ideal for that. The image should have a good balance in different colors imo.

There's also a weird lighting difference between top and bottom half. Put your hand over the top and then over the bottom, they appear to be in two completely different lighting situations.

I like the Design. Really. But i guess you have to work on lights.

Two big blue pillar seem to take to much attention than the furniture.

i would change the floor, i think the circles are distracting.
