  • AA Problem

    Hi,

I'm working on a small video, but I have some nasty problems with the antialias, the video flickers a lot. I have tried everything from increasing the settings to modifying the geometry but with no results. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

This is an image without materials.

    And the AA settings.

    Thanks in advance.
    Miguel.

    -1 5?!?

this seems more like a GI issue than an AA issue, post your GI settings,

Ok Dusan, the fact is that this thing is kind of a singularity, lots of problems that are quite strange, from the GI to the model and AA.

Here is another image, this time with AA Fixed Rate 4 Subdivisions.

I am rendering a small secuence to see what happens in movement.

      The image

      The GI settings

      Thnks for your help

OK, put your GI preset on Medium animation and incremental add to current map. That will bring you flickering down, might even fix it.

          Marc,

I am using incremental, will do as you say, let me render a few frames to see what happens.

          Thanks

there is rule with adaptive sampling that say to not go over a difference of 3
like (-1/2 or 0/3 - difference is 3) or it *can* not only retunr bad results but waste an enormous amount of time to test adapt samples

not to mention an AA threshold of .3 is not good enough. lower it to at least the default .1
