Hi all, I need some help.

Since I rendered the first version, the grey one that is I made some change to the settings and now the area behind the TV marked 1 does not look as realistic as it used to be. I think it is way to light, it also seems as if the light is bleeding through now but the model has not been changed.

    2) I always seem to struggle to get my textures right in Max and when using VRay I further struggle to retain the saturation of my textures. How do you go about getting such saturated textures in your renderings. Also my textures seems ver blurry inspite of turning the blurriness down to 0.2.

    3) Lastly, obviously not VRay relate, but is it just me or does it looks as if the floor tilts down to the left with the map applied. I have applied camera correction and all lines except the tile joint line looks correct.

    Thanks

well it seems that the camera correction could be exacerbating your problem. what is your camera pov set at? what does it look like if you dont use camera correction and just level out your camera?

Try using a 50mm lens for your camera. That reduces distortion.

Here is a scene with a 35mm lens camera:

[added] In these two examples camera and target height are equal - no camera correction.

Thanks for the tips, I am testing them.

Anybody got advice with regards as the texturing?

Frances I look at the quality of your textures and its just so much better. I used to render in MicroStation (a all in one CAD package) and there I had no problems with my textures, but in Max I not having to much success.

        Cheers

Reduce "threshold" in the AA rollout to reduce blurriness.
