I'm a sucker for palmtrees ( iam from Holland, no palm trees and hot wheather here ). So these kind of images always make me feel warm.

I like the second image, only i can't see if there is water or not in the area between the wood patio and the concrete path. If there is you should try to improve it, if there is none maybe you can make it look more like rocks. Also i think it is too dark, the sunlit areas could be brighter.

But good feel to the image, i would like to sit there with a tequila sunrise in my hands.

A full render queu is a thing of beauty !

        very nice
agree about water. looks like lacking reflections.
chairs seem to heavy and too uniform.

          Nice image indeed !

C&C: it looks like a storm is coming up. Brightning the background would do you some good.

The fact that i'm also from Holland would make me sit next to my "neighbor" Erik with a tequilla but also with my umbrella

really good stuff. I had a couple of questions:

            1. are the trees done in post? they look pretty damn good for 2d trees I think if thats what they are. If they are 2D, what library?

            2. Did you use HSV colormapping ? Im wondering because the last few jobs my clients have commented on the grey washed out look of the images so i was considering using linear so that areas in direct light would be more washed out. I see the same thing in your images

            3. really nice detail with the grass etc ...is that displaced?

            4. are you using a flat colour in your vray reflection ovveride? As someone commented on my last images, maybee a nice blue sky HDRI with clouds and trees etc would help bring out the water and glass a bit more (is the palm reflection on the glass done in post?)

really good images though! Paving etc looks especially good imo

paulison, thanks for the comments, the trees are from got3d I bought those at turbosquid, I used exponential color mapping, the grass is displaced and everybody is right about the water reflections.

As usal I had no chance to go for the detail, I used materials from libraries I already have and couldn't play with the settings. I started working on this project yesterday at 9:00 am and the client picked up the prints today at 1:30 am so I only had 14 hours to work, I think I should have been a doctor, always called at the last minute, hehe!

IF YOU GOT THAT DEFINED SHADOWS YOU MUST HAVE A HARD SUN LIGHT.... AND IF YOU GOT A SUNNY DAY YOU CANĀ“T HAVE THAT DARKNESS....

I MEAN... INCREASE GI OR DECREASE BRIGHT MULTIPLIER ON COLOR MAPPING.... THE DARKS ARE TOO DARK....

THE OTHER THINK YOU CAN DO IS CREATE SMOOTHIES SHADOWS.... IF YOU DONT WANT TO CHANGE ILLUMINATION... I THINK THAT SHADOWS MUST BE MORE BLURRY...

I THINK IMAGES HAVE NO CONTRAST.... THAT COULD MAKE WORKS EASY CAUSE YOU MAYBE R USING EXPONENTIAL MAPPING... WHEN HSV EXPONENTIAL IS BETTER TO SIMULATE HUMAN EYE VIEW... TRY TO MAKE SUNLIGHT HARDER... AND DECREASE SHADOW DARKNESS....

I HAVE SEEN MANY GREAT WORKS FROM YOU... BUT THIS TIME I THINK COMPOSITION IS NOT AS GOOD AS YOU CAN MAKE IT...
