Hi Everyone. I've just woken up to find my newest render and I thought I'd share. The image below took 9hours52min to render out. I can't help but feel that is a tad excessive, so I've posted the settings here as well in hopes of getting some tips to help optimize the scene.

    My System
    2.4 AMD
    1.5gb ram
    nvidia quadro FX600

    The image:

    And... the settings:

its the 80 subdivisions in your stainless material.
i would start with about 15 and bump it up if you need less grain.
you should be able to render that out in under 10-20 mins.

Take all your Subdivisions and make them 8 for the materials. It should bring your time to less than 15 min.

it looks to me like the two front end table legs have doubled faces.. check to make sure, i've seen similar overly grainy types of renders with this, Also the lower triangle on the left side of the table is either flipped or doubled..

        Cheers,
        Dave.

Oh also.. for the materials, either Check the Use Interpolation checkbox, or turn down your subdivs for the glossy reflections as stated above.. (If you don't/can't use interpolation, then start low (3- and work upwards until the grain is at an acceptable level.)

are you using a Vraytoon filter? it looks like there are edge lines on the scene, but not quite enough so to be obvious.

            Hi Everyone,

I'll try everyone's tips and report back later, maybe after the holidays, since I'm flying out in a couple hours. Thanks again, and happy holidays!
